As mentioned earlier, the website is the main element of web technology in which web applications are realized. To create a website or a web application, and for it to be used by other users, certain steps must be taken:
The first step in creating a website
Choosing the hardware on which the website will be hosted, a computer server that will act as the web server. For this purpose, we need a computer with web services and one or more web servers where the website will reside. This is where the website versions will be stored and archived in case of damage, in the form of backup procedures.
The second step
Choosing the right software with which we will develop the website or web application (e.g., Microsoft Expression Web). The development can also be more complex, involving more than one software, including database management.
Third step
It is the internet connection through Internet Service Providers (ISP) whose which enable the publication of the website and web application on the internet. Every ISP today also offers web hosting services as well as domain registration.
To publish a website on the internet, we need to go through these processes:
- Domain name (e.g., company.al),
- Web Hosting (web host) for the website or Web server,
- Design – with web page software,
- Page listing (in Search engines – Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.),
- Maintenance and updates.
